Membership

Full individual (voting) membership of the Partnership is open to anyone who lives or works in the village of Treeton, while Associate (non-voting) membership is open to all. There are also membership options for community groups and businesses within the community.

Being a member of the Partnership

Anyone can be a member of the Partnership, although only people who live or work in Treeton have voting rights in the selection of Trustees and on issues raised at the AGM, which takes place in April of each year.

Members are actively encouraged to participate in the day-to-day business of the Partnership and to play a key role in the Focus Groups.

Trustees

The Board of Trustees provides the overall direction of the Partnership, meeting on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm at the Community & Resource Centre. The Trustees comprise:

1 Business Representative
4 Community Group Representatives
1 School & Churches Representative
1 Parish Council Nominated Trustee
1 Borough Council Nominated Trustee
4 Individual Members

Trustees meetings and sub-committee meetings are normally open to members and the general public, although some aspects of the Trustees meetings dealing with legal and employment matters must be restricted to the Trustees.

Paid staff

As well as the voluntary members and trustees, the partnership employs three paid staff: a Full Time Development Manager, a Part Time Administration & Communications Officer and a Part Time Publicity & Administration Support Officer.

In addition two further staff are employed by The Partnership to manage the Waverley Community Connects project, a Community Links Officer and a Part Time Administrator.

The Partnership's Constitution

The Trustees are the elected and nominated officers of the Partnership. Individual members are normally elected to serve as Trustees at the AGM. The term of office is three years, with no restriction on re-election. If necessary, for example due to retirement, the Board of Trustees can also co-opt a new Trustee, whose position must then be confirmed by election at the next AGM.
