The Focus Groups

Each of the key objectives of the Partnership has been assigned a 'Focus Group' to champion it within the community and to lead on identifying issues and solutions within that area:

Each Focus Group is lead by a Trustee of the Partnership, with support from the Project Manager and/or Administrator. Other members of each group are drawn from the community at large, and may include other Trustees, Members of the Partnership, residents with an interest or expertise in the sphere of the Group, representatives of local businesses, and nominees from statutory bodies such as local government, NHS, South Yorkshire police, etc. The Groups may also co-opt members for specific projects where this is appropriate. The groups meet every 3 months for 2-3 hours.

The groups are responsible for implementing and monitoring progress of all current projects that fall within their sphere of responsibility. They are also responsible for designing and assessing the feasibility of appropriate new projects and, once these have been accepted by the Partnership, assuming responsibility for implementation.

This information will be made freely available and quickly communicated through 'Partnership News', 'Community News' and the Community Notice board in the Community Resource Centre (now under development).

The activity of the Focus Groups will also serve a second important purpose, to help attract more volunteers, trustees, and customers of services.
