The Community Action Plan is constantly evolving to match changing circumstances, but at its basis it lays down the four main objectives of the Partnership and sets out how they will be achieved by and for the people of Treeton.
The Plan describes a series of projects, each of which falls under one (and sometimes more than one) of the main objectives. These projects may be led by the Partnership, by other community groups, individuals or statutory bodies, using funding drawn down by, or with the support of, the Partnership. A list of current, planned and completed projects is available here.
The plan has been carefully researched through surveys and questionnaires and by the involvement of most if not all of the community groups in the village. Thanks to this communal effort the Plan was the first of its kind in Rotherham to be accepted by the EU Objective 1 funding programme, and has already helped to bring in more than £250,000 in funding support for community projects.
Copies of the most up to date version of the plan can be obtained on request from the Partnership, either printed or as electronic media on disk. A small charge is made for this, to cover our costs.
The Partnership also produces a leaflet outlining these community projects. This can be downloaded here. Copies are also available free of charge from the Partnership office at the Community & Resource Centre in Treeton.
